Set has Sixteen very dark grey (almost black) pieces and Sixteen white speckled pieces. King measures approximately 4 inches tall. Diameter of base on most pieces is 1.25 inches. Hollow bases. Very good detail on pieces. Hollow pieces are light weight, yet very playable.
